Is my world geography textbook in 9th grade liberal?
Ok, maybe not radically, but it seems really liberal. It says a lot of stuff about Global Warming being true and how some things are contributing to it. It has never mentioned global warming being a theory; it says quote “These methods of farming are destructive to the environment and contribute to global warming.” It also condemns oil and natural gas, and it praises those who use solar power as a “more clean and efficient energy source.” I live in Texas, and we are all very Republican here. I’m not making accusations that liberals are trying to brainwash us, but this seems like a rather liberal book.
Okay Tea Party, if you want to be snotty about it fine, replace theory with hypothesis.
I did not say solar power was less clean, I said the book idolizes it. Also, it does not just state global warming, it talks about it like it has been proven and accepted by all scientists. (Which it hasn’t)
You should accuse liberals of trying to brainwash you, because that is clearly what’s happening.
And don’t believe the ignoramus who just equated theory with established science. When something is called a theory (i. e., global warming or evolution) that means it has NOT been proved.
I commend you for recognizing the bias in your textbook. You deserve better from your school.
